Shipping Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) and Answers

Q:  Are the flat-rate shipping options per item, per order, or per shipment?

  • A:  The flat rate charges are per order.  If one order has multiple boxes, you are still charged only one shipping fee.  If we ship a partial order due to out-of-stock inventory and then later ship the remaining products once back in stock, you are still only charged one shipping fee for the entire order.

Q:  How long does it take for my order to ship?

  • A:  Typically 2 business days to process, pick, pack, etc.  To provide visibility for your order we send status updates as new order milestones are reached along the way.

Q:  Will I get a tracking number when my order ships?

  • A:  Yes.  You will receive a notification when your order has entered "Shipped" status and we'll send you the tracking number from the appropriate carrier.  You're welcome to sign up for the carriers alerts along with the updates that we provide automatically regarding your order's status along the way.

Q:  Can I request a signature for my order?  

  • A:  Yes.  Signature requests for delivery of orders are $6.50 for both UPS and Fedex

Q:  Does my shipping include insurance?  

  • A:  Yes.  All items purchased from U.P. Marine Company include insurance with shipping.

Q:  How do I know if my item is over-sized?

  • A:  There is an oversized flag in the product download as well as an oversized warning indicated by the shipping box shown as yellow next within a product's listing.  

Q:  How do I know if my item contains hazardous material, or hazmat?  

  • A:  There is a hazmat flag in the product download as well as a hazmat warning indicated by the shipping box shown as red within a product's listing.  

Q:  What are the shipping restrictions on item contains hazardous material, or hazmat?  

  • A:  Hazmat items can only ship via UPS ground to the contiguous 48 states

Q:  Are there any minimum order requirements for flat-rate shipping?  

  • A:  No, there are no minimum order requirements for flat-rate shipping. We appreciate orders of all sizes!
